Eddy & Photography

When I was 22 years old, in 2004, I became seriously interested in photography.
I enjoy being outside and the never-ending task of attempting to capture "that feeling," i.e., the sense of loneliness you have when you have the entire landscape to yourself. I express what I feel and see through my photos, which are all about the outdoors.

When I'm out in the field with the camera, I can't even put into words how I feel—I just adore it. The camera brings me joy, peace, and tranquillity, and I take full advantage of it. Nature is all around us and is something we observe frequently, but when we are behind the camera, something special occurs when we push the shutter and view the images.

Perhaps I am more appreciative of the beauty and wonder of the landscape as I am photographing it, but any way, I LOVE IT.

At the university, I attended Graphic Design and Multimedia classes in 2002, which introduced me to photography and its technical aspects.

When I purchased my first camera, a Sony Cybershot DSCH1 5.1MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Zoom, in 2004, digital photography technology was just becoming available to consumers. Back then, it had the highest mega pixel resolution, and it had an amazing zoom and optical quality.

  • 5.1 effective megapixels
  • 36-432mm equivalent (12x optical) F2.8-3.7 zoom lens
  • Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization
  • 2.5” LCD (115,200 pixels)
  • Full photographic control
  • Real Imaging Processor & 14-bit DXP A/D Conversion
  • Optional wide and tele lens converters
  • Scene selection (7 modes)
  • Histogram indication
  • 32MB internal memory, plus a Memory Stick/PRO slot

I began learning about my shooting abilities and fell in love with photography when I enrolled in the photography course in 2004. We traveled every weekend and day during the week to a new location and had a lot of shooting experiences while learning, discovering, and applying every rule in the book.

I took many beautiful pictures with the Sony Cybershot DSCH1 until it passed away while I was traveling in 2014, and I went without a camera until I purchased my first DSLR.

I got my first DSLR, the Nikon D5600, in 2016, and I've been using it ever since to capture every landscape while traveling alone (just me, the camera, and the tools), as well as when I'm with my family and having fun.

 Life Outside of Photography

My lovely wife, Doris, and I, along with our two children, Joya and Giovanni, reside in both Beirut and Deir EL Qamar, Lebanon. I appreciate the majority of outdoor activities.

When I'm not lost somewhere in the wilderness, I enjoy spending time with my family.

In fact, I devote all of my time to my family. I pack my camera bag, and we go exploring and taking pictures together because I adore them.
